This work was created for a long-term care facility as a place where
the residents could sit outside under a shelter that recalls the trees
once along this river. The dome is cut into a repeating leaf pattern
to provide the dappled light of trees and the tree trunk columns and
yellow ceramic leaves add to this sense of nature translated into
industrial materials. The curves of the mosaic walkway recall the
adjacent river
